Marie-Therese Bio

Professor Marie-Therese Claes is Head of the Institute for Gender and Diversity at the WU Vienna University of Economics and Business. Previously she was professor of Cross-Cultural Management and director of the Executive MBA programme at the Louvain School of Management (UCLouvain, Belgium). She was also Dean of the Faculty of Business at Asian University in Thailand, and has been visiting professor at several universities in Europe, Asia and the USA, as well as consultant for international organizations. She is past president of SIETAR Europa (Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research), and of EWMD (European Women Management Development Network). She is also a Fulbright and Japan Foundation alumna.

Rima Sharma

Rima lived and worked in India, Singapore, and Malaysia. She has more than 14 years of working experience in various multinational companies across different countries. She graduated MBA from University of Sunderland (UK). Currently she is living and working in Austria, in the field of sales and marketing. She is also highly influential public speaker and passionate about intercultural communication & activities.

Jina Kim-Prunera

Jina Bio

Jina is Korean-Austrian and has lived, studied, and worked in Austria, France, the Netherlands, and UK. She is Director in Astus Coaching designing and delivering Intercultural Training and Coaching programmes to global clients in diverse industries. She works with them on intercultural competencies to lead, communicate and engage successfully. Jina is passionate about building intercultural bridges and is seen as a trusted advisor to many of her international clients.

She had studied Economics in Wirtschaftsuniversität Vienna and started her Marketing career in a Japanese corporate managing subsidiaries and agency partners in EMEA. In 2009, she left the corporate world to pursue her passion for education and has been working with thousands of people from 40+ countries in her role as Business Coach and Facilitator. She is an Accredited Certified Coach (ACC) by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and provides Business and Cultural Coaching to senior leaders.

In addition to her business focus, she is being invited to give guest lectures to students on Intercultural competencies and acts as a student mentor.

Wogene Bio

Mr. Wogene Berhanu Mena is a Teaching and Research Associate at the Institute of Gender and Diversity in Organizations at WU Vienna University of Economics and Business. He previously served as a lecturer in Political Science and International Relations at various public universities in Ethiopia, and as a Communication and Culture Office Manager in a public office. He holds an MA in International Relations and Diplomacy from Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia, and another MA in Intercultural Conflict Management from Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences in Berlin. He is a DAAD alum. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Economics and Social Sciences at WU Vienna University of Economics and Business.

Dr. Andrea Romo Pérez

Dr. Andrea Romo Pérez

Andrea Bio

Before joining the WU Institute for Gender and Diversity in Organizations Andrea Romo Pérez was a postdoctoral research fellow at the School of Social Work and Social Welfare of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She was also a university lecturer in the Master Intercultural Conflict Management at the Alice Salomon Hochschule (Berlin). She holds a PhD in History from Freie Universität Berlin, and a master’s degree in Public Management from Potsdam Universität. Dr. Romo has conducted research on policing and police-minority relations in Latin America and Israel, specifically on police deviance, sexual misconduct in provisional detention centers, masculinities and gender-dynamics in this male-dominated organization/profession. In addition, she has worked in the areas of intersectional discrimination, and gender-based violence. Her work has been published in different books and international high impact journals such as: Police Practice and Research, Feminist Criminology and Policing and Society. Outside her academic life, she worked in the print media and Ecuador’s public sector.

Claudia Pauzenberger

Claudia Bio

Claudia Pauzenberger is exchange coordinator at the International Relations office at MCI Innsbruck, sustaining the students in the organization and preparation of their exchange semester. She holds a degree in Translation and is a certified Trainer in Intercultural Communication and in Burnout Prevention as well as a certified Psychological Consultant. She has lived abroad from Austria for several years, working in the USA, France and Italy.

Her interest lies in an interdisciplinary approach to interculturalism (with perspectives from intercultural communication, coaching and linguistics) focusing on the individual.
