FH-Prof. Dr. Eithne Knappitsch is Professor of Intercultural Management and Program Director of a Business Bachelor in Intercultural Management at Carinthia University of Applied Sciences (CUAS). Eithne is the co-founder of SIETAR Carinthia, which has amalgmated with SIETAR Austria. Eithne’s research, teaching and professional training interests lie in the fields of Intercultural Management, Diversity Management, Unconscious Bias and Intercultural Communication. Eithne is a member of the TRANS_SPACE research group, an interdisciplinary research group working on issues relating to Transformative Social Political and Cultural Engagement and is also a member of the Transfrontier Euro-Insitute Network (TEIN), a network devoted to the practical business of cross-border cooperation in Europe. Eithne grew up in Ireland, and has lived in Northern Ireland, Belgium, Germany and currently Klagenfurt, Austria.

Karin Martin

Karin Bio

Karin Martin is Senior Lecturer and Researcher at the Carinthian University of Applied Sciences, as well as an Entrepreneurial Linguist who specializes in multilingualism and foreign language learning.

She teaches Italian Language and Culture to ICM bachelor students (Intercultural Management) and to IBM master students (International Business Management). She works and conducts research in the field of social sciences and interculturalism.

Her field of expertise lies in promoting multilingualism in education and in society. She supports and assists families who move around the world for different reasons and raise their children with more than one language. She is also a Dyslexia Trainer and wrote her doctoral thesis about dyslexia, foreign language learning and bilingualism.

Karin Martin is a native Italian who has lived and worked in Italy, Germany, Spain and France. She currently lives and works in Villach, in Austria. Her working languages are English, German, Spanish and Italian.

Romana Moser

Romanas Bio

Romana Moser is a professional translator with a master’s degree in translation studies from the University of Vienna. She has been part of SIETAR Austria since 2013 and has been president since 2018. Alongside intercultural as linguistic matters, Romana has a great interest for people and temporary issues in society. Working at SIETAR Austria, Romana was able to combine these two passions.

Birgit Bio

Mag.a Birgit Hochreiter is consultant, business coach and trainer with main focus on intercultural competencies, development of personal potential, communication and other soft skills. She is founder of the companies ic visions and Freigeist Consulting.

Birgit studied business economics at the University of Graz and has a postgraduate diploma in Intercultural Competencies of the University of Salzburg. Before her self-employment, Birgit worked for an international group and then as a project manager for a consultancy.

She speaks English, Italian, French and Spanish.

Colin Heller

Colin Bio

Colin Heller works as a full-time Senior Lecturer / Senior Researcher and Language Coordinator at the University of Applied Sciences Carinthia (CUAS). He teaches German as a foreign language, Russian and German Language for specific purposes.

As a studied Slavic and foreign Germanic, he completed his doctorate in 2017 at the University of Klagenfurt in Russian Linguistics (Lexicography).

For more than ten years, he has been working in the field of applied linguistics.

Research interests:

Teaching German as a foreign language, Russian, Terminology, language for specific purposes, dictionary making (German – Russian).

Niccolo´ is an Intercultural Management student at Carinthia University of Applied Sciences in Austria, specializing in Globalization, Diversity Management and Intercultural Communication. He studied in Austria, Italy and worked in the fields of Marketing, Administration, and Freight Management. Niccolo´speaks fluent English, Italian and intermediate German.
